ABOUT THE BOOK

The work Karunasmriti Recent Researches in History, Culture and Archaeology of Odisha, consisting of two volumes is a welcome addition to the History and Culture of Odisha. More than 60 articles dealing with recent archaeological discoveries, new data and interpretations are included in the volumes. The volumes contain research articles on prehistory, early history, archaeological discoveries, art, architecture, culture, epigraphy, numismatics, literature, regional history, aspects of freedom movement etc.

The volumes are dedicated to the sacred memory of Late Prof. K. S. Behera, a scholar of international repute in the history of Odisha.

These volumes are useful for research scholars, academicians, general readers interested in various facets of the history, culture and archaeology of Odisha.

ABOUT THE EDITORS

Prof. B. Tripathy teaches history at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak (MP). He is at present Head, Department of History; Dean, Social Sciences and Director Academics of the University.

Prof. A.C. Sahoo teaches Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology at Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan (WB). He is at present Professor and former Head of the Department.

About the Associate Editors

Dr. Prabhash Kumar Singh is a researcher on history and culture of Odisha and at present Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) of Bargarh,Odisha.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Pattnaik is a scholar on archaeology and tourism and is at present Secretary, Odishan Institute of Maritime &South East Asian Studies, Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Brajabandhu Bhatta teaches history at Dharmasala Mahavid yalaya, Jarka, Jajpur, Odisha.

Dr. Basanta Kumar Mohanta teaches Anthropology in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology, Adi Keih College of Arts and Social Sciences, Asmara University, Eritrea, North East Africa.
