About the Book
Āśramakanyā is a Felicitation Volume prepared in honour of Professor Kalpika Mukherjee, who superannuated from the Department of Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, in 2004, and remains a constant source of inspiration to Indologists across eastern India. About the Editors
Prof. Arun Ranjan Mishra teaches Sanskrit in the Department of Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit, Visva-Bharati (Central University), Santiniketan. Well-known as a poet and critic in Sanskrit and Odia literature, he has to his credit 15 books of creative writing, 25 books of research and more than 150 research papers in Indology. Classical and modern Sanskrit literature, Aesthetics, Poetics, Veda and Indian Philosophy are his fields of interest. He also serves as Vice-President of the All India Oriental Conference (51st Session).
Prof. Lalita Chakraborty teaches Sanskrit in the same Department. She is known as a teacher, speaker and writer in the fields of Indian Philosophy, Puranic literature and Classical Sanskrit. Her well-acclaimed books are Bhāsarvajña O Nyāyasāra and Divergence in Indian Philosophy, and she is widely respected for her insightful research papers as well.
